2010 Epsom Derby Runners
The full list of runners for the 2010 Epsom Derby are now available and we will have 12 going at Epsom on Saturday for the biggest race of the season. Meanwhile we can of course start to gain an idea of potential runners by checking out the Epsom Derby Odds as well as watching the Derby Trial races very closely. At this stage a few days before the race we are left with 12 runners in the race and all of the big names have held their ground at the latest forfeit stage.
Connections will make it very clear throughout the early part of the season which of their horses are being aimed towards Epsom for a tilt at the Derby. At the moment we are expecting to see the likes of Jan Vermeer and Bullet Train take their places at Epsom and they both currently head the betting. Godolphin have a good type in Rewilding who won recently at Goodwood to throw his name into the hat, he could well end up being the mount of Frankie Dettori in the big race if things go to plan. Another possible runner in the race is Ted Spread who ran well at Chester to win the Chester Vase recently and could now be targeted towards a big run at Epsom this weekend.
