Epsom Derby Contenders 2025 - Camelot
All the take for the past few months has been surrounding the potential Epsom Derby hopes of Camelot who looks set to take his chance for trainer Aidan O'Brien. The Ballydoyle horse sprinted into the limelight last year when he hacked up to win the racing Post Trophy at Doncaster and he has been well backed for the Derby ever since.

There is no doubt whatsoever that connections over in Ireland think plenty of Camelot and he showed he had all the potential in the world last season with two wins from two starts as a juvenile. It was his win at Doncaster which was the taking one though as he simply blew away a good field with a breathtaking turn off foot with jockey Joseph O'Brien motionless on board the son of Montjeu.
He made his first start this season in the 2025 Guineas at Newmarket and he duly justified favouritism by claiming the first classic of the season. Joseph O'Brien held Camelot at the back for much of the race before he scythed his way through the field to win a touch cosily for punters. The horse once again showed his brilliant turn of foot to claim the win and connections are eager to try him over the firther trip on offer at Epsom for the Derby.
