Epsom Derby Contenders 2011 - Recital
Aidan O'Brien is always a trainer to respect when it comes to the Classics and the 2011 Epsom Derby is no different with the master of Ballydoyle set to run Recital in the big race. The horse has long been considered a Derby horse but he was disappointing first time out this season when he could only manage third in the Ballysax Stakes at the start of April when an odds on hot pot. He was much improved last time out when he won the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial at Leopardstown and following that one he has been cut for the Derby by most of the major bookmakers.
Latest Recital Epsom Derby 2011 Odds
That win in the Derrinstown was certainly an improvement on his first run but he did seem to hang badly when in front which is a worry for potential punters ahead of the Epsom Derby. We know he gets the trip and seems to act on most types of ground with a win on soft in France last season so he will give you a run for your money making him an interesting contender.
