Epsom Derby Contenders 2011 - Masked Marvel
Masked Marvel has thrown his name directly into the Epsom Derby 2011 hat with his impressive run in the Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood last time out. The John Gosden trained horse shocked a few with his run at Goodwood on the fastest ground he has experienced, which can only be advantage for punters wanting to back him each way at Epsom. The Cocked Hat was run over 1m 3f and there is every reason to believe based on the run that Masked Marvel will enjoy the extra furlong on offer in the Derby which further enhances his claims.
Latest Masked Marvel Epsom Derby 2011 Odds
His first run of the season was back at the end of April when he was only 5th in the Bet365 Classic Trial at Sandown over 1m 2f, it was clear from that run he needed a little further which he will get at the Derby. It may be that he is below the class needed to win a Derby based on that Sandown run but he seems to be improving through the season and should have a nice each-way chance.
