Epsom Derby Contenders 2011 - Carlton House
No horse will receive more attention in the build up to the 2011 Epsom Derby than the exciting Carlton House who is of course owned by Her Majesty The Queen. The Sir Michael Stoute trained horse looked a real Deary contender at York recently when he won the Dante Stakes which is widely considered to be the premier trial for the Derby. That win at York saw Carlton House defeat the likes of Seville and World Domination a touch cosily, although it has to be said that it was an untidy pace with no real pace in the early stages.
Latest Carlton House Epsom Derby 2011 Odds
The Queen has never owned a Derby winner and all the attention will now be on the horse with Sir Micahel Stoute and Jockey Ryan Moore going for a second successive win in the race following Workforce's win last season. Carlton House just had the two runs as a Juvenile last season with his first win coming in a Maiden at Newbury at the end of October. He is bred for the Derby trip and should also come on for his run in the Dante making him a genuine threat in the Epsom Derby Betting.
